Now you can build up a good amount of edge we need to make good use of it when we need it to turn around the gate. During the blue section of the turn - set your skis up for the turn - giving it plenty of edge, then as you as you approach the pole apply plenty of pressure (red section) on the front of the ski to get a tight arc to ride on.
If you get this right the skis will shoot forward and try and escape. As you set up for the next pole you will need to regain control, set up the edge ready for the next turn.
You can see this happening in frame 4 where pressure in frames 2 and 3 has built up and the centre of mass drops through the front of both boots, but in frame 4 you can see the skis have accelerated away leaving the racer on his heels briefly.
Weight vs Strength
Some of the less experienced racers may use weight as apposed to strength - this is undesirable. This can be seen visibly with their upper body shifting onto the outside ski. Encourage the racer to have a strong core body posture and radiate out good strong leg extensions into the mat to get the ski to react.
